With the ODA Program of Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, now the villagers will have 100kWh electricity.
Energy Farm Co., Ltd., a south korean social enterprise, completed the installation of the solar system as the program executing organization.
On 21 December 2017, the completion ceremony of 20kW solar generation was held in Daung Hmee Kwet in Yangon. At the event, around 150 invitees gathered to celebrate the completion of solar generation system in the village. The invitees include Ms. Khin Thaw Thar Win from Ministry of industrial (MOI), Ms. Myat Marlar Htun from the Parliament of Hlegu Township in Yangon region, Mr. Thein Htun Oo from Ministry of Electricity and Energy(MOEE) and Dr. Aung Myo Naing from the Technology University Hmawbi.
At the event, the 20 students from the Technological University Hmawbi also attended as they finished their renewable energy training of two weeks.
Ms. Khin Thaw Thar Win Ministry of industrial (MOI), said that it is great to see the villagers be able to use electricity for a better quality of life.
Mr. Kim, Dae Guy, expressed that it is a very fruitful experince to provide the solar system for the village with a hope that thanks to electricity, they can have more job and educational opportunity.
This 20kW Solar Generation System was installed through the 2017 ODA program of Gyonggi Province.
The 300 villiage members will be able to use 100kWh electricity with the system.
